Let us not seek safety in this world. We tend
to make mental lists of the things we need to accomplish, of all the tasks to
get control of our life. If we could accomplish all the tasks, we would be at
peace. However, the more we strive to achieve our goals, the more items we see
on our list. The more we try, the more frustrated we become.
There is a better way to find security in this
life. Instead of mentally going over all your affairs, turn your attention to
our God. This contact with him will keep you in peace. It will help you to
distinguish what is important from what is not, what needs to be done now, and
what you do not need. Fix your eyes not on what you see, as your problems, but
on what you do not see, in the presence of God.
