"In my distress I
cried unto the Lord, and HE heard me." - Psalm 120: 1
What is anguish? It is
intense anxiety or distress, it is suffering, it is agony, it is deep pain
caused by terrible evils like infirmities and struggles of life, it is torment,
it is tribulation.
So let's stop to think
now what has caused us distress, or is causing anguish right now. It is good
that, in the midst of the walk, we have this stop to analyze ourselves.
We learn here that the
God who created the heavens and the earth, created this infinite universe, that
same God watches over those who trust in Him and also trust in His Word.
Therefore, in the midst of anguish and despair, CLAME asking for help to your
GOD. Scream loudly asking for help from the GOD present.
The promise in this
Psalm is that HE will hear us. Even though we live among people who have lying
lips and a deceitful tongue, who use destructive words like ember, people who
live in permanent war and who do not know peace, people who breathe hatred, HE
WILL HEAR US ... Hallelujah ...
"Who will separate
us from the love of Christ? Is tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or
famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? " Romans 8:35
